All the girls were lovely and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Very high quality furniture and linens, handed down from generations, I was told. We had a nice garage to store our bicycles, and were snug as bugs in our 2nd floor room. Breakfast was wholesome and delicious. Did I mention the furnishings? We were humbled by three generations of beautiful, strong women. I wanted to stay and hear more of their stories and the history of the place.

Very nice location, the host was very helpful and thoughtful to our needs, although we spoke different languages🙂.

Este establecimiento está situado dentro de las murallas históricas de Kloster Weltenburg, el monasterio más antiguo de Baviera. Wonderful, peaceful, friendly sanctuary. Beautiful location on the bank of the river. Rooms are lovely and very clean. The restoration of the building is of very high quality with great attention to detail. Wifi is super fast. There are beautiful walks around the area, all the way to the neighbouring town Kelheim. There is even a ferryman who takes you to the other side of the river for 2 euros! Resturant has excellent food and is well priced in my opinion. There is a brewery in the monastery and the Barock Dunkel beer is particularly delicious. When coming back from my walk, a monk stopped and helped us with directions, very friendly and so nice. I originally booked two nights but ended up staying for three.
