At the inn, the rooms come with a patio with a mountain view. Every room has a coffee machine and a private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries, while certain rooms here will provide you with a kitchen equipped with a dishwasher. At Oceanhouse rooms come with bed linen and towels.

Having a work orented layover, and finding the hotels of the Homer municipality mostly booked I inadvertently stumbled upon a luxury accommodation with a quiet comfortable ambiance and a breathtaking Alaskan ocean view. With elevation, the location gives a commanding view of the Homer spit, Kachemak bay, and the mountains and glaciers of the opposing side, and yet still low enough to be subjected to the steady droning of surf crashing and the crisp cool of the oceans salt air. The seaward entries have double doors that open and expose the master bedroom to this outdoor atmosphere and direct to the hot tub and deck lounge area. For feeling remote it can be hard to believe how close the location is to town center, and the end of the spit a pleasant bike ride away. With first rate amenities the sweets are staged to accommodate couples looking to have a few quality moments for themselves. Although traveling by myself I found the peace and quiet rejuvenating and I left my stay renewed as if I had been privy to a small vacation as opposed to a layover for work. I would recommend this stay to any Alaskan couple as is most definitely an experience worth the investment. I myself would like to return one day to share the experience with another. I thank the patrons for creating an opportunity and sharing a piece of their Alaskan dream.

I enjoyed my stay but wish dining room served meals earlier & later. Corn nuts & jerky are not a great dinner/breakfast.

This place was refreshing brake from a wild adventure. It was a quiet with a wonderful view. After a long ride to get there, it was nice to get a delicious dinner at the restaurant. Only to wake up a get a nice coffee and walk the beach and watch the wildlife, with a backdrop of water and mountains.

Wonderful location. Comfortable bed. Great view. Really friendly owners. A great place to spend a couple nights. I saw a moose with its calf, while eating my dinner, on the back balcony with the mountains in the distance.

We loved our stay. Lila was very friendly and helpful. She changed our room when she saw the stairs would be a problem for my mom. We so appreciated this. She had a wonderful notebook with a treasure trove of information about Homer. We highly recommend this inn.

The breakfast was not what we expected; we had egg and polish sausage with English muffin one day and cereal the next. The view of the mountains from the Inn was beautiful, but the yard was very overgrown.

We liked that there was a restaurant for dinner and breakfast. If you want to eat in the main section you need reservations in the evening. We ended up eating in the bar area and it was just as nice. Good food.

Mike and Carol made us feel very welcome to use the kitchen for our breakfast and be upstairs. Carol also cooked us a delicious salmon dinner for an extra $25 each. They have a big grassy backyard and a pair of sandhill cranes with two babies that visit! The room had nice big windows looking into the back yard which made it feel more open even though it was a rather small room for a queen and single bed. The bathroom and shower were large and spacious and they provided shampoo and other amenities.
