The breakfasts were exceptional. We were treated like royalty. The location was ideal, very walkable to so many attractions. It was a most wonderful romantic weekend getaway.

The staff are helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Their breakfast is served buffett-style and suits all tastes. It has an indoor swimming pool and the location is excellent - easy to access the key routes out of town, and close to the centre of UVA. If you don't want to spend a vast amount at a high-end place but baulk at staying at a chain hotel the English Inn is definitely the right choice.

I had a room with a fireplace and the bed was so comfortable. I cannot think of one bad thing to say about the Inn. Oh yes, they had parking with EV charges.

Having some restaurants within a block of the Inn that you could walk to was great after a long day of driving. Also hiked to the downtown area the next morning, however shops there don't open until quite late in the morning and we had to get on the road. The Monicello plantation we thought well-worth seeing and is only 20 minute drive.DonnaGroup
