Had a fantastic night at the Horse and Groom. Booked the hotel as it was dog friendly and they made our little furry boy feel so welcome with a lovely bed set out for him with food and water bowls and a nice little welcome pack. They also have a lovely little dog menu. We decided to stay for our evening meal. The food was delicious and arrived nice and quick. The staff where amazing we would definitely stay here again

The staff are really friendly, the food was excellent and the ambience is relaxing and characterful. The room is like a tiny ship's cabin. Beautifully decorated with luxury velvet throw and cushions and a lovely little shower room. Perfect for one person but not for two; unless they're very much in the honeymoon phase. The location in the centre of Stow is perfect. So nice to visit a place where the staff really care. Thanks for a wonderful visit.

Everything about this hotel was great, I would definitely stay here again. Besides the room and bathroom, I would like to highlight the views from the hotel, they are so relaxing. Also, the restaurants (for breakfast and dinner) are very comfortable, beautiful, and very cozy (especially beside the fireplace at dinner, 100% necessary for our winter trip.

The location is beautiful and easy for getting to other destinations. We had two full days and covered four different places in that time. Breakfast was very good value for money with a great choice. The room was cosy and had everything required for a short stay. We had dinner as well which was good.

Room was comfortable and clean with all necessary facilities. Nice touch to have a little goodies tray with biscuits, crisps and sweets. The food at dinner was excellent and served by friendly staff at a comfortable pace. Good choice for breakfast, full English was very nice, not greasy fatty. Overall there was a friendly atmosphere engendered by the staff.

Historic inn with a charming old village vibe. Our triple room was roomy, clean, with comfortable beds and a sweet country decor. Great staff and breakfast included. We also liked how Stow-on-the-Wold had many shops to meet all your needs yet still retained that small village feel. Side note: you need to climb narrow and steep stairs to get to the rooms which for us was not a problem.

Breakfast and staff were excellant Dinner was not value for money, very small portions Room was a lovely size and super view, but very disappointed that it hadn’t been maintained well. Safety chain missing from room door, no light in lobby of room, light missing in bathroom over washhand basin, no working bulbs in outside lights, bed side light shades had cobwebs on. The car park we used, at the Orangey had a massive deep hole where you drove in or out, could easily damage car suspension if not very very careful. .
