So many good points. Asked for a ground floor room and this was provided. Plenty of parking space. Outside seating space was really good if it had stopped raining! The staff was brilliant, a credit to the Chequers Inn.

The staff were very hospitable and helpful they went 'the extra mile' and made us feel very welcome. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. We enjoyed an evening meal and breakfast; our meals were tasty and the service excellent. We particularly appreciated the 12 noon checkout as it gave us time to do the Uckfield parkrun and return for an unhurried breakfast and a shower before checkout time. We would stay there again.

The most gorgeous views over rolling countryside from the garden. Dinner was really tasty. I needed a dog friendly place to overnight prior to an agility competition and sometimes 'dog friendly' can mean a tad grotty. Not the Griffin! Spotlessly clean and beautiful.
