What a lovely place! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The people and the service are amazing, 10+ out of 10. Not only did they help get our luggage up the stairs, they found umbrellas for us to use on our outings and were there at every turn for anything we might need. The bar staff are super friendly and the cook was amazing. Breakfast is the best I've had, and there were several menu items to choose from. We stayed in the small apartment and really enjoyed having a separate area to watch TV and relax. All in all, we loved our stay here. We would like to return again some day and spend more time with these wonderful people. They truly are the best! ❤️

There are wonderful people running The Castle Inn. They are so friendly, happy, and always smiling. We enjoyed dinner and a pint before heading up to our room. The room and bathroom are spacious, a good shower with plenty of hot water, the bed was comfortable, and the noise level was very low. We could hardly hear any noise from the street or the bar downstairs, which was full and open until 11 pm. Breakfast was good and plentiful. I couldn't finish everything on my plate. I especially enjoyed the coffee and our server, who didn't mind at all making a cappuccino on request. We had a great stay here.

The inn is so charming with lovely gardens and a warm homey feel in our room as well as the restaurant/pub. Breakfast was delicious as were the meat pies and all the meals the chef prepared for us. Everyone, especially Carly, Brandon and Layla were happy to help us with anything we asked. Thank you all for a perfect first trip to the English countryside!

Location - very central. Beautiful accomodation - lovely fitout. Friendly staff. Parking right next door (free from 6pm-8pm) which can be difficult in the centre of some of these old towns. Plenty of hanging space.

Mike!!!!! He was amazing and so very helpful! Could not have made it upstairs without him. Please pay him more, he's so worth it. Helped us with our meal too! We loved our stay! Next time it'll be longer!!

- Accessible location to great food at The Tollgate Inn - Easy accessibility and off street parking - Room had a sink and facilities to make the experience more private if desired - Windows in room had an additional layer installed to help with traffic and the period windows - Fresh milk at breakfast

Superb accommodation. Great vibe to the place. Exceptional staff and food. Massive bedroom and bathroom with a bath. Easy onsite parking.

The room was a great size and super clean. Loved the whole property and location. We sat out the back at table and chairs before dinner and the view is spectacular of the church and scenery. The people serving us for dinner were wonderful and very friendly (quite young) but made it enjoyable and we asked them questions of where to go in the area. Loved the stay here.
