It certainly needs to be updated. Everything is at least 40 years old. The breakfast was barely passable, and was mostly gone by 8:30 AM. We will not be staying here again.

Very nice and recently renovated rooms which had a log cabin style vibe to them. Breakfast was also nice because it had made to order eggs. Other options for breakfast included cereal, yogurt and fruit. Very nice. I indicated "Not Applicable" for the room as I looked out in the parking lot. The view wasn't as important as the location and the comfort.

Bathroom felt almost luxurious you could use the family Suite as a base of operations for your adventures in the smithers area

Super peaceful and I am so glad I decided to drive the extra 10-15 mins off the beaten path (and the highway where most of the Smithers hotels are located) to find this hidden gem. Felt like European elegance meets Northern BC rusticity. Delish breakfast as well. If you want a good sleep, some peace and quiet, a beautiful view and a great breakfast, you couldn't do better than the Driftwood Lodge.
