Ponderosa Ridge A Bed & Breakfast is located amongst the Apple Hill Area ranches and wineries of Placerville in El Dorado County, CA. We are nestled on an 11-acre property, including 3 acres of an apple orchard that guests only may pick. Each suite has a unique ambiance and is thoughtfully designed for your comfort and quiet relaxation. All rooms have ceiling fans and private baths with updated showers (no bathtubs). Each room has direct indoor and outdoor access. There are short paths to walk, an outside natural gas dining table in the gazebo, a Hot Tub room and a 3/4 wrap-around porch. We offer down home comfort with a full country breakfast made from scratch each day. Our baked goods are cooked fresh every morning.
We love to meet new people and listen to their stories of where they have traveled. We to like to get out and see places too--our goal is to see all the National Parks and all 50 States. We are Square Dancers.
We are open year round making it easy to enjoy the many activities around the area. We are located amongst the Apple Hill Area ranches and wineries of Placerville in El Dorado County, CA. Just seven minutes from Historic Downtown Placerville, where there are many great restaurants and shops (some of them haunted--so the story goes). Coloma, where gold was discovered January 24, 1848 is only 12 miles from us. Gold Bug Park & Mine is a great place to explore. Apple Mountain Golf Course is only 3 1/2 miles. One hour from South Lake Tahoe.
