Nahlaot is a general alias for 32 crowded neighborhoods that are interconnected. Most of them were built in the late 19th century with the exit of the walls, a few were added during the British Mandate, and each neighborhood was built with some organization: some were built on a common economic basis, others on a sectarian basis and more.
