Hi I am Rachel, I am married to Tim. We purchased The Nook in 2014, when our sons were 11 years and 8 years and our daughter was 2 months old. We bought it because we wanted to have some adventures with our kids whilst they were young enough. We also wanted to allow them the freedom that we don't have at home as we live near a busy road. The Nook and Llanddulas offers a fantastic experience, we have found our children can roam freely along the coastal path without any concern for traffic, Although there are bicycles, these are always courteous and are far less scary than cars. As time has gone on, we find that life gets in the way and, whilst we still love to visit The Nook we don't use it as much as we would like and would like to share our pleasure from it with others.

We just love our house, it is tranquil, calm whilst in the midst of the holiday area just by the coastal path and a short walk from the village centre. Its spacious and has everything a family would need for a break.

There is so much to see and do for all ages in the area, it is impossible to list everything. Our favourites are Colwyn Bay Beach, the Mountain Zoo in Colwyn Bay, the Fairground at Tir Prince, Towyn (the best thing is that the grown ups can escape to the car boot sale and market next door whilst the children are at the fair), Gwyrch Castle in Abergele which is like a fairytale castle, Llandudno Pier and, of course, the ski centre where both our boys have learnt to ski. We are only a short walk from the bus stop with goes either into Rhyl or to Llandudno. When our kids were younger we used to love the outdoor kids paddling pools (bit enough for the kids to swim) in Llandudno and Rhos on Sea. There are theatres in Llandudno and Colwyn Bay. There is just so much...I could go on for ever. Great walking in the hills, great cycling along the coastal path, Loads of fabulous places to eat. In the village is the Little Indian Chef, the Semaphore Lodge Chinese buffet is just up the hill in Llysfaen. We like the Picture House in Colwyn Bay for good value basic stuff that we all like.
