Great location. A little busy but perfect to access all of the breaks easily and safe for solo female traveler at night. Everything you need close at hand! Owners go out of their way to make sure everyone is comfortable. Great hosts!

Everything about our stay was incredible - the location of this hostel is unbeatable, the courtyard has a wonderful hangout spot to mingle with other guests (or cowork during the day), and Mati and the rest of the crew were the best hosts. Always around to help with anything we needed or just to chat. We extended our stay because of how much we loved it here, our favorite hostel to date! Highly recommend and would 100% return. Also to note - the AC in the room is excellent.

Especially if you are coming to Sante Teresa for the first time and you are a solo traveler like me, I recommend you to stay here first. The team is incredibly nice and helps with everything. They especially arrange the surrounding experiences at the most affordable price for you. They prevent you from getting ripped off. If you're lucky, you might come across a taco day or a party on the beach. There is also a great environment to meet new people. I would especially like to thank Sebas from here. Sebas will take care of every detail for you, say hello for me.

If you are looking for a lovely, affordable place right by the beach and want to meet new people - this place is for you. This is a hostel in the true sense of the word. Nothing posh or luxurious here, but the simple rooms with shared kitchens (both super clean!), welcoming staff, lush grounds, the amazing community spirit and 'surf family' feeling was exactly what I was looking for as a female solo traveller. I was new to this beach, met a ton of surf buddies who showed me the ropes at this particular break, and had such a good experience that I'm already planning my next trip there.

I absolutely loved staying at Surf Paradise! The team here are amazing and make you feel super welcomed and apart of a family. We did ceviche and tuna nights where everyone from the hostel was invited to have dinner together. The hostel has lot of trees and greenery which makes it feel like a more authentic Costa Rican vacation, it’s across the road from the pathway to the beach so it’s really close and a great spot if you’re wanting to spend your days surfing. The team here are really friendly and helpful and if you need anything like advice on what to do or where to eat they are happy to assist instantly. Will definitely be back to stay here again :)
