Veritas Cottage is situated on Barossa winemaker, Rolf Binder's homestead property of 27 hectares and overlooks the Black Muscat vineyard planted more than 50 years ago. The self-contained cottage has recently been renovated and carefully furnished with unique retro pieces and mementos dating back to the early days of the family's winery business. The property has all the modern features to ensure a comfortable visit and provides a rural, peaceful setting although only 2.5 km from the centre of Tanunda for shopping, dining and other facilities. The central lounge room has a large, wall mounted flat screen TV and unique retro club lounge suite with views out over the vineyard and park-like surrounds. The spacious and sunny fully equipped kitchen has a real retro 1950s character with selected pieces including an original laminated top and chrome plated table. Ideal for those guests who like to cook meals during a stay. Guests can also travel 1.6 km from the property to the Rolf Binder winery for a wine tasting.

We love food, wine and travel and really enjoy meeting guests from all over the world that stay on our property. It's also fun to be able to see guests at our cellar door nearby, where we offer wine tastings and tours of the winery. Rolf Binder winery was established in 1955 and we produce a wide range of white, red and fortified wines, selling into 18 countries around the globe. Our guests can enjoy a special bottle with any 2 night stay! Full breakfast provisions highlighting local Barossa produce are also included. We stay on top of communication with guests to ensure they have an enjoyable stay and also provide lots of useful local knowledge to help plan time in the region. There is ample outdoor space to take a stroll and explore, with regular kangaroo sightings and enjoyable sounds from kookaburras and other birds and wildlife. The expansive vegetable and terrace gardens are filled with fresh herbs, fruits and vegetables, available for guests to wander through and harvest produce for cooking during a visit. The property provides a rural, peaceful setting although only 2.5 km from the centre of Tanunda for shopping, dining and other facilities, as well as conveniently located to many wineries and the famous 'Maggie Beer's Farm Shop'.
