Wake up in the morning to the magnificent view of the river from bed. Enjoy a coffee from the pod machine and then breakfast on the sunny patio. Your day of relaxation can be spent in your garden or helping on the farm, or exploring the local country roads. In the evening you can enjoy a bath in your private garden. If you love cooking, order all your requirements from Woolworths Grafton who will deliver to the farm. We will unpack for you into the studio kitchen ready for your arrival.
Welcome to Clarence River Farm, I am a retired accountant from Sydney, an escapee from the rush and bustle. Apart from the beauty of the area, the thing I love the most is meeting the people who choose to stay here for a break. Guests have many different reasons for staying here. It might be that they are travelling with a pet, or it is a convenient spot to break a long trip. Some have jobs locally and enjoy the full kitchen. All have an interesting story to tell. My passion is growing garlic, ginger and galangal, organically. And after a big day on the farm, I really love sitting on the verandah, and unwinding, watching the sun go down.
One of this property's greatest attributes is that it faces North to the river, and on the other side of the river is lush, green farmland. It's so peaceful watching the cattle grazing and wandering down to the river to drink. The view is constantly changing through the day as the light changes, from the fresh dew on the pastures in the morning to the warm glow of light from the setting sun in the afternoons. Bird life abounds. Over 30 species of birds have been identified on the farm. We also have echidnas, hares, wallabies galore, and the occasional koala. The local wildlife, the river, the peace and quiet, all offer endless possibilities to relax.
