The location of the room was excellent - within walking distance to a wealth of interesting places, like the old town, the fabulous park near the arena, the canal, some great pubs, the cathedral and plaza with outdoor cafes. We could also walk to the train station. It was a very affordable place to stay while exploring Cluj-Napoca. Although we never met the hosts, they were very communicative, via email, which worked for us. Thank you!

Situated in a pedestrian area inside Cluj-Napoca's mediaeval city wall, Hostel Retro offers 24-hour reception, free bicycles, as well as a sauna for a surcharge. Staff was exceptionally helpful, super friendly and on top of that very interesting to talk to. It’s what’s most memorable about the hostel I’d say. The atmosphere is really nice as well, easy to meet people. Location couldn’t be better. Luggage storage after check out was possible as well.

Kollege Hostel provides accommodation with free WiFi in the centre of Cluj-Napoca, 600 metres from Transylvanian Museum of Ethnography. Location is perfect if you are attending Untold Festival - would definitely recommend. The building is an old college so it is a little quirky but feels just like a dorm :)

Set in Cluj-Napoca, less than 1 km from Banffy Palace, Casa Thomas Cluj offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and barbecue facilities. I lucked out in finding this lodging. It is within a few hundred meters of the Cluj's Botanical Garden. It is also only a few blocks ...downhill and then level... from the city's main square. I couldn't have asked for a better location! I happened to arrive at a time when the owner/manager had arrived so we were able to arrange everything quickly. I thought the common bathroom was clean and the property was well-lit at night, both inside and outside. I also think the neighborhood was safe.

Central Hostel Cluj is ideally set in the centre of Cluj-Napoca, and features a terrace, free WiFi and a bar. The location was great, close to the major landmarks, to bus stations, bars and restaurants. Friendly staff and owner. Comfortable bed.
