Surrounded by rainforest and mountains, Chateau Backpackers & Motels offers an outdoor fire pit, BBQ facilities. For a hostel with free breakfast, there were 3 cereals, toast and waffles/pancakes. Easy place to chat to others and soup was great too. Staff were good with advice and help too

It is very close to the Pancake Rocks, but right down on the beach. The scenery is beautiful! The unit has a small refrigerator, dishes and flatware, glasses, tea cups and mugs, and an actual teapot, tea leaves, and a tea ball, which made this tea lover very happy. There is a funky, but charming table and chairs on the front porch for enjoying a supper while watching the sunset. If you want to cook, there is a well equipped kitchen in the hostel. We highly recommend this spot!
