Situated in the town of Ohakune, on the edge of Tongariro National Park, LKNZ Lodge & Cafe is within 5 minutes' walk of restaurants, bars and shops. It features a sauna, hot tubs and an on-site cafe. Insane value for your money. Had the twin room with bathroom. Cute kitchenette included, good beds, warm. Free parking included. The Café downstairs has fair prices for what you can get and the personnel is super friendly. We Germans don't say "Amazing!" very often, but when we do, we mean it. Cheers and thanks for having us.

Central location with a restobar and mini golf course just beside, and fuel station/convenience store within 2 mins walking distance. Shuttles from to/from Tongariro Crossing starts from the hostel and can be booked directly at the reception, which is very convenient. Showers are consistently hot, which is really needed after a long day of hiking. Kitchen well equipped. Overall this is the perfect hostel to stay in National Park.

Located in Erua, within 21 km of Mount Ruapehu and 22 km of Taranaki Falls, The Crossing Lodge & Backpackers provides accommodation with a shared lounge and free WiFi throughout the property as well... We had all the basic for an accomodation - heater, gas, refrigerator, etc. The rooms were very clean and tidy. The owner is very accomodating to our needs.

Located in Raurimu, 21 km from Mount Ruapehu, Slalom Lodge provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant. Absolutely amazing hosts. The kindest people I’ve met. Thank you so much for making me feel so welcome and looked after ❤️❤️❤️
