I have to say that the YHA Nelson is one of the best hostels I've ever seen. And it is reasonable priced too. Staff is amazing. I had a single room and it was great.

This hostel offers free unlimited Wi-Fi, a log fire in the guest lounge and heaters in all rooms. Guests can relax in the hammock in the garden. This was one of my favourite hostels while travelling around. Common spaces were clean and comfortable. Rooms were big and comfortable. I really liked bunk beds, because they were wooden and shaped into a L-form so there was more space for the person sleeping on the lower bunk. Every evening they offer you free chocolate pudding, which is more like a cake but I loved it! Apparently also vegan friendly! Really enjoyed my stay there, would recommend.

The Palace Backpackers ligger i Nelson och erbjuder boende med gratis cyklar och en gemensam lounge. Denna historiska kolonialvilla ligger i en vacker trädgård med plommon, citronträd och blommor. Really cool old Victorian house, with lots of character. Staff were nice and helpful, location was convenient, everything was clean and comfortable.
