Peppertree Lodge & Backpackers on saanud uue juhtkonna 2022. aasta keskpaigast ning on vaid 80 meetri kaugusel Paihia rannast. There was a really nice atmosphere. I had the queen ensuite room which was beautifully decorated, really clean and light. The staff were really helpful and accommodating - when I pointed out a small problem with my window latch they fixed it straight away. The location is also great - really close to the beach and the bus stop / wharf for boat trips. The kitchen area was also lovely and clean and excellent recycling facilities in place outside.

Centabay was my favourite hostel that I stayed at in New Zealand!!! I loved the vibrant atmosphere, the lovely backpacker-staff and the wonderful manager who was always a joy to chat with. The prices are incredibly reasonable for a place in the middle of Paihia, and you can tell the manager isn't in it for the profit - she genuinely wants to help travellers have the best experience possible. The hot tub worked well and was always great to use. The hammocks and tropical garden are another bonus. I could go on and on!
