Aark House is a compact hostel located within a 5-minute drive from Gangneung Train Station (Yeongdong Line). Free WiFi access is available in all areas. Super kind host, I arrived super early in the morning and she immediately opened the door so I could drop off my luggage and freshen up with some water and freshly made corn and an egg. Bed was also super comfortable and the location was within walking distance from the KTX station and a busstation so eventhough I only stayed one night I had the best time!

The host was super kind! They compiled a booklet with useful knowledge and compiled a list of restaurants and dishes to try in the area. Very clean and pretty house. Bonus: Freshly brewed coffee.

The communal area was lovely and well kept. The shower was very powerful which was lovely after a very cold evening. The staff were lovely and very welcoming, will be booking in the future

Very friendly staff with tips about what to do and which hike to do in seoraksan national park. On the day of we even got a bag of fruit to take with us on the hike. The day we were leaving we got a ride to the bus station. The price-quality was good, the room was basic but all the necessary things were available (eg fridge for every floor, shower amenities, even tooth paste). The mattress and pillows were comfortable.
