La Controra is a former monastery with garden, transformed into a friendly hostel in the centre of Naples. Rooms have air conditioning. The breakfast, although frugal, was very good. I liked everything about this hostel, starting from the room (clean, large rooms, with separate rooms for shower and toilet, good air conditioning, confortable bed), the dinner area, the beautiful garden. The location is also very good, a 10-15 minutes walk from the historical center. The hosts were friendly and gave me the best recommendations for pizza and pasta restaurants and also directions to a Vesuvius trip. I would come back here for sure.

Hostel Partenope asub Napolis, 3,3 km kaugusel Napoli riiklikust arheoloogiamuuseumist. Kohapeal on konditsioneeriga toad ja ühine puhkeruum. I liked the way the hostel was kept and the fact that you could come and go exactly as you please. I left every day and came back to find a spotless property. I was made to feel welcome on my first day which was important to me because it was my first visit to Italy. The young man who ran the hostel very kindly lent me an adapter for my charger because I had forgotten to bring one. It is also only half an hour's walk away from the airport and about the same from Napoli Central Station. The terrain is flat enough for me to manage with just my stick, so I did not need to spend a lot on taxis. The people in the neighbourhood seemed very friendly too and seemed to bend over backwards to make me feel welcome. I was even assisted to cross the road on my way back to the airport by a shopkeeper who had seen me hesitating. He must be used to it. It can be quite nerve-racking to cross the road in Naples! The other guests were lovely too and everybody was very considerate of each other.

Very beautiful location overlooking the plain of the Volturno and the hills. A place for contemplation. Most kind and hospitable host. Delicious pasta for dinner. Very simple, but comfortable room. Strong Wifi.
