Located 3.5 km from Reykjavik city centre, this eco-certified hostel is beside the geothermally heated Laugardalslaug Swimming Pool. Er was zeer vriendelijk personeel, wij kwamen uit een nachtvlucht uit Amerika en konden eigenlijk pas na 15:00 de kamer in. Wij kwamen om 8:30 uur aan bij het hotel, de vrouw bij de receptie heeft kostenloon voor ons gezorgd dat wij eerder de kamer in konden. Wij verbleven in een kamer met eigen badkamer. De kamer zag er netjes, schoon en heel uit, ook waren het goede bedden met voor ons gevoel nieuw beddengoed. Het is voor de mensen die van lopen houden makkelijk aan te lopen naar het centrum (3,5km). Prijs kwaliteit verhouding van het hotel is prima.

All shared facilities were very clean and there was everything you need to cook in the shared kitchen.

The South coast adventure tour is the best. The hostel does not give you towels so bring yours. They give lockers, but bring your padlock but not a tiny one but a medium padlock. The showers have nice warm water and there are many. So don’t worry but bring your own soap - shampoo and conditioner, yes they have hair dryers. There is kitchen and it’s nice. It’s a nice place to socialize and meet people, if you don’t like meeting people why the hell you come to a hostel. Don’t come dirty with smelling clothes and socks, take a shower and wash your undies and socks. Take the Free walking tour of city it’s just 1.5 hours tour but it will give you a lot of information. The down town starts just 2 mins from the street behind the hostel and yes there is a awesome community pool there, it’s cheap and a nice place to enjoy the thermal heated pool. The hostel does not check people before 3 pm bcoz they have to clean the rooms and tidy up the beds and change sheets. My personal experience with the front desk staff was awesome, every person there is elagant polite and friendly. I don’t remember ask names but Andres and Makkaa were fabulous. I messed up my bookings with my pickup on my return to the airport and Makkaa fixed it by calling the bus company in a few minutes. She is fantabulous and full of energy. Yes they help you with keeping your luggage at no cost for few hours and it’s safe. What else you want? Just pack your bags and book this place and get your A moving Areevedechi, Huggu, Sayonara , Fir milenge, Cya

Also this hostel is on the list of nice travel, bus travel and many other tour companies. So you can just wait for the bus to pick you up in the morning.
