Basecamp Wales är ett familjeägt vandrarhem i Llanllyfni, i utkanten av nationalparken Snowdonia och 30 km från Pen-Y-Pass och 8,2 km från stranden vid Dinas Dinlle. The staff were friendly and I loved the honesty section in the kitchen. The communal area was lovely. The rooms were brilliant and it was awesome to see the bunk beds were double beds!

Woodlands Centre ligger i Betws-y-coed, 20 km från Snowdon, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering, en gemensam lounge och en terrass. Amazing location close to restaurants and beautiful walks close by. The buses to Snowdonia are within a 5 minute walk of the hostel as well which was great! The common areas were spacious, a large kitchen to use, showers had hot water and the beds were wooden so there was no squeaking. The staff were lovely and gave us advice for our trip - would stay here again next time we’re back!

Situated in a converted school house, Lodge Dinorwig is located in Dinorwig, 8 km from Snowdon. Free private parking is available on site. communication was excellent, Nothing too much trouble, Any reasonable request was accommodated. Large and comfortable communal room. Well stocked self facilities for tea and coffee making were very good.

Llangollen Hostel Self-catering is a 4-star, Victorian town house in the centre of Llangollen. Llangollen Hostel = standout quality. Delivers well beyond what they charge for their rooms. Which work well for families or individuals. The workers I dealt with, or saw dealing with other lodgers, were attentive and responsive. There's an excellent energy to the crew. At least one member speaks Welsh too! Which was fun for me, a Welsh-language learner. The establishment itself's conveniently located in a lovely town. Bed was good, room was quiet; I slept well. Definitely get a top-floor room if you can: the view!

Tafarn Yr Heliwr ligger i Nefyn, 35 km från Portmeirion och 43 km från Snowdon Mountain Railway, och har en bar samt rum med gratis WiFi. Anna was so friendly and helpful.

FSC Rhyd-y-Creuau Hostel ligger i Betws-y-coed, 22 km från Snowdon, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering och en gemensam lounge. Location, lovely staff, delicious breakfasts, free access to most of the building (lounge, game room, library), bonfire area. Mattress was quite hard but that's what we like and we slept like a babies
