Amazing location, really kind and helpful staff. Cute homey sitting area and a gorgeous garden! Airport transfer is so handy I was worried about the noise from the fountain, turns out it was the perfect sound to cover the sounds of dorm mates waking up earlier than me. I have never slept better in a dorm :)

This place is run by remarkable family that goes above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible. In fact, it doesn’t feel like you’re staying in hotel/hostel rather like you’re being hosted by incredible people in their house. Dinorah & Wilfredo take care of everything around the place, they’re extremely kind, hospitable and their courtesy is beyond comprehension. Another great thing here is a breakfast! Delicious and lavish. Loved my stay there and would come back.

We even got invited to the dinner with Juan - the owner of the property, and his wonderful wife and friends. Plus we also got a free excursion in the sorrounding garden where Juan grows mangos, avocados, blackberries and meny other fruits. Absolutely recommend.

The property is so close to the airport so it is convenient for travelers taking flights the next day. The bathrooms were super clean and the dorms as well. They have a food truck on-site. The staff was very helpful.

It was my first hostel in Costa Rica and I hope to find more places like this on my trip! Very nice reception, very nice common areas, lots of bathrooms and showers to use (which are new). When I arrived they explained me a map of the city and helped me to organize my activities to make the best use of my time. My favorites were the yoga area and the hostel pet!

Arenal Sloth Hostel is set in Fortuna, within 5 km of La Fortuna Waterfall and 5.4 km of Kalambu Hot Springs. My stay at arenal sloth hostel was amazing! The staff were super friendly, helpful and kind. Jemina is a wonderful person, and does an excellent job. The vibe is super social and I made so many friends here. We shared meals, drinks and so many conversations. The kitchen is super clean and has everything you need. The bed in the dorm was comfy. The whole place was consistently very clean. It's a 10 min walk to town and a 20 min walk to El Salto.
