For 43 dollars, it more than served its purpose. But I chose this hostel mainly because it is also a cultural facility that was converted from a church. Its location near the harbor and its place in the local Art District make this place also unique. But its biggest charm is added by the owners who decided that the house they live in will also be a place of meeting and culture. I attended one concert and it was a really pleasant experience. Not only because of the music but also from meeting the owners, really kind and inspirative people. Otherwise, the hostel is well equipped, clean, and comfortable. Parking right in front of the building. I liked Port Alberni, so I will return here with my family. We will definitely be happy to stay at Chars Landing.

C&N Backpackers státar af útsýni yfir Ucluelet Inlet. Farfuglaheimilið er með rúmgóðan garð með eldstæði, grill, nóg af sætum utandyra og gönguleið sem liggur niður að vatninu. I loved the location in the middle of the forrest. You could walk out to the river and experience the wilderness, it was beautiful. The best thing was how lovely the owner was. Andy is a super nice guy and I could not have asked for a better host. I would 100% recommend this place on him alone, let alone how homely and pretty the hostel was.

Anne the owner was very easy going and generous with helping us store our bikes/gear up until leaving for our ferry. Overall a very convenient experience. Room, community spaces, etc were all well stocked and clean. Thanks!

Located in Victoria city centre, this guest accommodation features WiFi throughout the property. The hostel has a nice little bar. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean. People are very kind. Very good breakfast and dinner, and that's for free!! So good. It was very cozy, I felt very comfortable there! Lockers are available, you could even rent bikes! Would recommend!
