It’s a bit further from the city center, but personally I enjoyed a walk to/from there. Rooms are really cozy. Toilets and bathrooms clean as well. Really nice lounge and kitchen area. You can meet people from every part of the world while cooking your meal. And breakfast was always really nice! in general really cozy place!

It's more like a hostel than a hotel I would say but full of character and history (think it was previously used by the miners as lodging).the lunch menu here was excellent and really we'll priced. They also packed me a breakfast bag to take on the early morning flight.

Bearing in mind that it has no real competition, it is still nevertheless a very good hostel. Breakfast pancakes are great, staff are friendly, it is fairly sociable. The rooms are somewhat small, but the kitchen/social area is spacious enough, and in any case if you come to Svalbard for the bedroom then there's really little point.DarrynSolo traveler

The room was perfect for our group of six and was bigger that we'd expected. Very comfortable and convenient. We'd feared there might be night-time noise from the pub below - none whatsoever.
