Internet connection available during some hours in the evening (special service in very remote location) I have donated my bear spray to reception. It is absolutely recommended to carry it with you when hiking during bear season. Bring your own. If you travel by plane ask at reception to borrow my one, or buy it at the visitor information.

The hostess was extremely friendly and went out of her way to explain a lot about the area and she accommodated an evening campfire. The hostel itself was very clean. The showers and bathrooms were clean and properly equipped. The beds were comfortable enough and linnen and towels were available. The area around Kananaskis hostel was quite beautiful with great hikes, lakes and waterfalls.
