The host is lovely—she gave us many recommendations, ensured we knew what trains to take for our outings, gave us small gifts and goodies, offered to help us get laundry washed, and provided flexibility with check in and check out. All this she did with patience and a smile, even though we could not speak Mandarin and had to rely on translation apps. The location is excellent—walking distance to several buses and trains to nearby Jiufen, Shifen Waterfall, Bitoujiao, Keelung, and other great spots. The room itself is quiet, comfortable, and spacious with great lighting. It seems very clean and modern, with nothing out of date and everything functioning perfectly. It is well-appointed and nicely laid out. Guests have access to water, a refrigerator, a tea kettle, coffee, and fast/consistent WiFi. The toiletries and soaps were luxury, and we took note of the shower gel in particular so we can buy it to take home. This place is exceptional value, easy to book and find, and offered us complete privacy and autonomy. The host provided great communication from our initial booking until we said goodbye. Overall we give this hotel our highest recommendation—it was our favorite hotel of the 4 we stayed in on our visit throughout the island. The next time we come to the Taipei area, we will stay here.

The cafe bar and hot spring + cool spring pools are so relaxing to hang out at. The spring water bath in the room is also perfect. The accomodstion is truly spacious. It's a dog-friendly place and we met the friendly resident shiba inu Roro. Walkable within 15-20min to restaurants.

Excellent location and probably one of the best view, it is at the top of the old street, directly above the most famous dessert eatery 阿甘芋圆 which with the best view, the accommodation with a balcony facing the sea, very good view, light simple instance powder form meal and capsules coffee machine are provided, very good service, very helpful host explain in detail how to reach the accommodation in advanced.

Despite not having elevator, the staff assisted to bring my luggage to the room. There was a summary of their recommendations and amenities for the vicinity which made choosing a simple task.
