The guesthouse is a bit far from the old town, but it is easy to get a taxi with Grab and it costs only about 11 MYR to get to the old town. Even after adding taxi fares, the total cost is still lower than that for most decent hotels in the city. Most importantly, it is located in a quiet neighbourhood.

Situado em uma loja restaurada de 1930, o Sojourn Beds & Café é uma acomodação econômica e aconchegante situada em Taiping. I love everything in this hostel, this is such a hidden gem in a small town of Taiping. The interior was amazingly beautiful and details, I love their vintage and antique collections which were rare to find. The hostel is a house building and I felt so comfy and at home staying here. The house and the room were so classic and felt like traveling back to the past, love them soo much. All areas including the bathroom are clean and comfortable. The owner, Tricia and Tang were amazing persons. Tricia is soft spoken, sweet and friendly and resourceful. She gave me so much information about Taiping and things to do, including nice places to eat. Thank you so much! Highly recommend travellers to stay in Sojourn when your are in Taiping, or even just to stay in Sojourn is a very valid and strong reason to visit Taiping. ;)

Localizada na Baía de Nipah, a Nipah Guesthouse fica a 5 minutos a pé da Praia Nipah e a 10 minutos a pé da Praia Coral. A propriedade oferece acomodações bem decoradas em um ambiente tranquilo. My little son loved the aframe cottage, the dipping pool and the well mentained garden. There is also a fridge and very clean outdoor facilities to make tea and coffee in morning. The property is very near to the hornbills and in walking distance to coral beach but it is still very quiet. The owners were fantastic and very kind. They answered all my emails very fast, changed our ferry tickets and took us with their lovely family to the ferryport. It was one of the best stops on the whole journey!
