Featuring free WiFi and a restaurant, Sigiri Rock Side Home Stay offers pet-friendly accommodation in Sigiriya. Free private parking is available on site. Fun place to stay! The owners were really characterful and friendly. It's right in the jungle and the garden is like a jungle too. The room was great, very clean, hot running water and really well kitted out rooms - Good AC, a stocked fridge with cold drink minibar type setup, kettle, tea/coffee, a big washing bowl handy for washing clothes. The entrance to Sigriya is directly opposite the access road to this place - you could not stay any closer, so ideal for an early morning start up the rock. The Breakfast here is absolutely stunning, 18 different items, all cooked by the host in the morning, hoppers, pancakes, little omelets, jaffles.. it just keeps coming out! We had our own tuktuk so driving around, going out at night wasn't a big deal, and the owner can easily organise a tuktuk pickup as this guesthouse is set back into the jungle. A 5min walk from main road in the daylight but maybe not something to try in the dark. We would happily stay again!

This was absolutely the most beautifully designed, comfortable, well thought-out private cottages in the most divine landscape and garden imaginable. Large rocks to sit on, space to have space from each other to read or meditate on the large rock out front of cottage, surrounded by artfully planted garden blooming with flower among vivid greenery and massive trees out yonder among the surrounding lush green paddy fields and nature park. The sound of peacocks and beautiful birds and a gorrgeous private swimming pool complete with lights and spa jets in each cottage. Away from the fray and business, this was magical. Hosts were so inredibly warm, kind, generous, and the food was pretty mush the best we have eated so far- and that includes in 5 star Negombo hotel and me being Sri Lankan myself!!! I strongly recommend this place to my Sri Lankan family who love to get way from Coombo, and visitors too. There was unseasonal rain in the area that restricted out visit to Sigyria, but I could not think of a better place on earth to be stuck in the rain!

This place is really a great place to stay when you want to see the Lion rock. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast included is also a bonus.

Lovely host, amazing food, Wi-Fi worked, surrounded by nature. The room is basic (no hot water, no AC), but that didn't matter, as we loved how it felt like we were in the middle of the jungle. Good to know: at night you can't walk around in the nature, as there are wild elephants. So if you go to the restaurants you need to take a tuk tuk back.

We recommend staying in this cute little Hotel. It s clean, with comfy beds, a rain shower, and a nice little balcony with a view of the garden. We spotted black-faced monkeys, a mongoose, and those big squirrels. The family is so welcoming, they offer to cook dinner (it was delicious every single time) and the included breakfast is delicious too (fruit, coffee tea toasts, and two Sri Lanka specialties that change every morning). They helped us plan our trip and are truly wonderful people. We extended our stay and loved it. Will come back :)

We loved our stay at the Shan Mango Homestay and would highly recommend it! The hosts, Chulané and Sugath, are incredibly nice and we felt very welcome. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and very clean. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace or taking a dip in the pool which is surrounded by a beautiful garden full of mango trees. The breakfast was also great. Chulané and Sugath served different Sri Lankan specialties, eggs, toast and fresh fruit (including self-grown mangos of course) every morning. Our highlight was cooking together with the family. We learned how to prepare sambol and 4 different curries - and everything was delicious! We also went on a great jeep safari with Chulané’s cousin where we saw at least 20 elephants :)

Great hospitality, we felt that we were in our home. Very very clean. big room. Not any problem. Very big bathroom with hot water. They designed the bed with real fresh flower. Very beautiful. Everything was new. They catering with delicious fresh lemon juice twice and free. The breakfast was very good and free. The reservation man and his family was very kind and helpful. Thanks for everything. Thank you. I recommend to everybody.

You have a direct view from your terrace to the Lion's Rock and the view is overlooking the rice fields. The host family is incredibly kind and they organize everything you need for your stay, for example Tuk Tuk rides, a safari with their own jeep for a reasonable price or a trip to Dambulla! You can ask them anytime on WhatsApp if you need anything and they bring or organize it immediately! They served typical Sri Lankan breakfast and also have a dinner menu. The location is perfect as you feel like you are in the middle of the jungle but in fact it's only a 15 min walk to the center. The room is basic but extremely clean - overall it's really good value for money here and I would definitely recommend to stay here if you are in Sigiriya!
