He helped us arrange local transportation and suggested hidden gems for us to explore, away from the usual tourist spots. His knowledge of the area was invaluable, and we were able to discover some truly breathtaking places. The homestay itself was a haven of peace and tranquility. The views of the mountains and tea gardens from the balcony and terrace were simply stunning. On clear days, we could even see the majestic Kanchenjunga, adding to the magic of our stay. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with all the necessary facilities provided. The proximity to the market area was convenient, and we could easily avail of local shared taxis to explore the town. Overall, our stay at Family Homestay was nothing short of fantastic. Bidur and Sandhya's hospitality, coupled with the beautiful surroundings and delicious food, made it a truly unforgettable experience. We can't wait to return on our next visit to Darjeeling. He cooked delicious food (I discovered lots of new food here, yum! ), showed me around town, helped me find things I needed for my trek, organized transport and my next accommodation… and we had lots of great chats along the way.
