The best part of the property is the staff. Owner, Tyson welcomed me explained everything needed. A young lady working at the cafe (Diza, sorry if I mistaken the name)made me one of the best meals in Indonesia I’ve ever tried. Sweet dog and cat were also welcoming and slept under my room’s door at night.The room was simple but very clean with beautiful garden setting. The location is a little bit out of town, but walkable and very quiet. Tyson also organized a jungle trek for me and that was also very good. We saw 8 orangutans)

Borja and Yuyun are excellent hosts that offers you the warmest welcome that you can imagine. They are very kind and help you with any and every question you might have about the place and the island. Every single item in the rooms were well thought. Room was very clean. Having a mini fridge, boiler in the room was great to have. Location is fantastic as it's a bit remote in the island which offers you a calm place to relax. Having the ocean right beneath you is remarkable. Food in the restaurant which is running as a side business, "La Boca Chica", was a great surprise for us as it really exceeded our expectations for taste and variety. We were not comfortable to ride scooter and Borja was kind enough to give us a practice session which shows how far they are willing to go for helping their guests!

Set in Tuk Tuk in the Sumatra region, Juma cottages features a garden. There is an on-site restaurant and free private parking. All units in the guest house are fitted with a kettle. Everything. It’s a wonderful, peaceful place with a great spot to watch the sunset. The owners are also very lovely and helpful people - they recommended many things and are just really nice to chat to as well. They built the hotel themselves! Excellent, very clean and new rooms with a comfy bed and balcony.

We had a fantastic time at Cheeky Monkeys. The staff were incredibly kind, and it was wonderful to hang out with them in the common area. They were also very helpful with everything we needed. Our jungle trekking experience with them was absolutely awesome! Huge thanks to all the guides at Cheeky Monkeys. We highly recommend staying here; the rooms are comfortable, the common areas are inviting, and the garden is simply astonishing.

Knowledge of host Smiley about the sightseeing and adventure points near Berastagi. Wonderful service provided by his wife Cecilia, dinner cooked by her and the coffee brewed by her was awesome! Couple is also very resourceful and they were able to arrange a car for our drop back to airport.

Fun Family Guest House n Jungle Tour is offering accommodation in Bukit Lawang. Featuring a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. Location is perfect, you are in the middle of everything, amazing owners, very kind and helpful, they will even give you welcome drink (tea, coffee or water) and pick you up at the bus station (which i didnt expect), owner is good guide too, definitely worth to stay

Situated in Krui, Walur Surf Villa offers beachfront accommodation a few steps from Walur Beach and offers various facilities, such as a garden and barbecue facilities. This was an awesome place to stay, it’s clean and simple in a great location. However, what sets this villa apart is the owner, Frenki. He is very kind and is able to help you with anything you need. He organized us car rides, scooter rentals, and visa extensions. During our stay we got sick, he took us to the doctor and helped us get antibiotics. At the hospital my brother needed stitches, he dropped everything to come right away to help us. Night after night he showed us great local places to eat. Frenki really cares about his guests and wants them to enjoy krui. I would highly recommend staying here!
