Oamaru Bay Beachfront Tourist Park is a 10-minute drive from Coromandel and a 45-minute drive from Whitianga. The location was fantastic - like a large beach chalet opposite the sea. Even though the road was in front of the chalet, it was generally pretty quiet and peaceful. The chalets have been recently refurbished and are spotlessly clean, well equipped and spacious. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

Hot Water Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park is located 700 metres from Hot Water Beach, a popular surfing destination on the stunning Coromandel Peninsula. It offers a children’s playground, an internet kiosk and a guest lounge with satellite TV. Very big apartment with 3 bed rooms and well equipped kitchen, washing machine. Very convenient for family stay. 800 meters from hotel to the hot water beach. 20mins drive to Hahei beach. Friendly staff will tell you how to book tours or water taxi :) the only thing needs to be mentioned is that we found a lot of live ants in electrical kettle. We were scared about it.

Set in Coromandel Town, Shelly Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park offers beachfront accommodation 3 km from Driving Creek Railway and Potteries and offers various facilities, such as a private beach area, water sports facilities and an outdoor swimming pool. The property features pool and garden views. There is a children's playground and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. Loved the playground and the jumping pillow. The pool was awesome and was kept nice and warm.

You can walk to Cathedral Cove from Hahei Beach Resort, follow the beach and connect to the Cathedral Cove walkway (the walk takes about 1 hour each way).

Not all accommodation has a lounge area, sofa, TV. The Hahei Beach Resort is directly on the beach. It’s easy to go swimming or watch the sunrise or sunset.

When you’re ready for action, put on your hiking shoes or bike helmet and hit the fabulous walking and cycling trails, with stops along the way at heritage parks, swimming spots and cafes serving scrumptious local produce. We found the property to be a great layout and safe especially for our kids. The cabins were clean and not outdated at all. Staff are so friendly and helpful! Location was handy to the beach and not far from the main town. This is the first time we visited Waihi Beach and hopefully it won’t be the last! We loved our time away there even with the rain!
