Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a patio, Icelandic Lake House is situated in Akranes. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. We have been travelling in Iceland for 3 weeks and have stayed in some outstanding (plus a couple of not quite outstanding) accommodations. The Lake House is by far our favourite. The view from the conservatory and the deck were exceptional. We decided to take a ‘rest day’ here to just enjoy the view, the peace and the hot pot. It was great having access to coffee, herbs and spices left by the owners to use in our meal prep. Access was very easy with the lockbox. The heating was already on for us which was greatly appreciated. Btw I loved the swans in the pond. 😂

Hvammur 4 with private hot tub (Fagurgali) is set in Drangsnes. This property offers access to a balcony and free private parking. The holiday home has a picnic area and a hot tub. Maybe the best private house we stayed in Iceland! Wooden, warm and cosy with a hot tub outside! Very clean and comfortable! We stayed (one couple) for one night only and we wished that we stayed more! Extra bonus: the Northern Lights appeared while we were taking our bath in the hot tub outside!! Many thanks for the whole experience! Should be one of the first options to stay in Iceland!

Located in Kaldrananes, Hvammur 3 Hrakhólar with private hot tub offers an open-air bath, a garden and a barbecue. The property has river and garden views. The best accommodation we had on Iceland. Everything was perfect, very modern cottage! And private hot tub was the best after long days of driving. Totally recommend this place for accommodation 12/10.

Located in Borgarnes in the West Iceland region, Gíslaholt features a patio. This holiday home provides free private parking, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. The cottage was incredibly cozy, exceptionally well appointed, clean, and in a beautiful secluded location that was still easily accessible from Bogarnes! Could not recommend this stay more highly. It was the perfect base from which to explore the Snaefellsnes Peninsula.

Hítarneskot Holiday Home is a holiday home with a barbecue, set in Hítarneskot. Guests benefit from terrace. Free private parking is available on site. Free WiFi is offered. Great stay, huge house, amazing hot tube. Reccomend 100%!!

Located on the Westfjords, this holiday home features free WiFi, private parking and a patio. This double storey house is set on the historical Tangagata street of Ísafjörður. My goodness this was an incredible place to stay!! It is GIGANTIC. The home is very modern with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The kitchen is fantastic and sleek and has everything you need to prepare a lovely meal. They have a projector for watching TV (should you choose to do so). There is also a washer and dryer in the basement if you need to do laundry. There is a garden area outside that is very peaceful, though we did not have much time to spend at our accommodation to take advantage of it. I highly recommend staying here!

Stóra-Vatnshorn is located 500 metres from the historic Eiríksstadir site and 17 km from Búdardalur village. Quiet and peaceful location, cabin is warm and comfortable, well equipped kitchen with coffee maker, host is friendly. Highly recommended.

Kría Cottages is set in peaceful Skeljabrekka, 10 km from Borgarnes town centre. It offers free Wi-Fi and views of the Andakílsá River, surrounding mountains and Snæfellsjökull Glacier in the... This is by far a fantastic place to stay the location is peaceful stunning views the cottage we stayed in was number 1 ...had everything you could need ...perfect

Erpsstadir Cottage provides self-service accommodation on a working dairy farm. It offers views over Hvammsfjördur and a large terrace with an outdoor hot tub. Well-equipped house, in a quiet and relaxing location. Enough space for comfortable allocation of family with kids. Hot bath with BBQ are deal breakers. And I love the opportunity to go down the hill for farm products. Would stay here again without a second thought.
