We loved the rural setting and the close proximity to town where we could find everything we needed. Additionally, it was close to Falkirk where we able to take the train to Stirling. Edinburgh, and Glascow. It was great for walking.

Loved everything about the cabin, catered for our every need and the dogs had a great time too! The staff added to the experience, so pleasant and left me birthday treats also which was a lovely touch!

A beautiful cottage, with lovely attention to detail, and comfortable beds. I liked the extra touches, such as the fresh flowers, and milk left in the fridge. It was exceptionally clean as well, a lovely place to stay.

Melville Lodge is a beautiful home to stay in. It is a very comfortable and warm cottage (winter stay for us). It is spacious, well appointed and has everything you need. Irene is an exceptional host and I can see she has put a lot of thought into making the cottage a welcoming and relaxing place to be. We loved staying at Melville Lodge. We would highly recommend it and would definitely come back again.

Alan met us as we arrived at the property. He was very polite and explained a few things to us. The house was very clean, well maintained and had all the little touches of home.The heated drying rack was a huge bonus. Everthing we needed was provided, including laundry soap. I loved the dressing table with hidden makeup mirror and hair dryer. Would definately recommend staying here.
