It is located close to a highway, which was helpful for quick commutes to the surrounding sites, yet our room was still quiet and we slept extremely well with the specialty blinds that blocked out all light. That was extra nice while traveling with kids that are light sensitive for sleep. It was, unexpectedly, our fanciest stay. Before we left for Slovenia, we upgraded to the two bedroom with a big tub and balcony. No regrets at all, it was perfect for our family. I've stayed in very expensive, flashy hotels that weren't as nice. The building we stayed in is pretty new, with all the comforts of modern technology while surrounded by forests and animals. There's an elevator available, which helps if you've got a lot of baggage, kids, or mobility concerns. It even had a kids play room downstairs that my 1 and 4 year old enjoyed. The surroundings were bucolic and surreal, I could not stop taking pictures and walking around the property. Miniature horses, donkeys, goats, and other animals surrounded the property. The kids were very content with the vast playground. The place is family-run and you can tell our hosts knew their line of work! They have a great reputation for hospitality in the area, as we came to find out. The food was delicious, with some unique food offerings if you're willing to try new things but there was no pressure. The breakfast and service were impeccable. Parking was easy and the travel baby cot/pack n' play we requested was ready when we arrived. There are special activities available around the farm and we wish we would have scheduled a horse riding session. Thank you to our hosts for their wonderful hospitality, we really enjoyed our stay!

Featuring mountain views, Rooms Šajina offers accommodation with balcony, around 31 km from The Škocjan Caves. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. Very friendly hosts, one of the nicest people I've met, everything was very clean in the room and the location is very quiet and close to nature, the view is beautiful.

Great and well appointed apartment, excellent location for visiting the surrounding sights (and there are many)! Located in the center district with easy off street parking, cafe’s, grocery store and yummy restaurants within a couple of blocks. Additionally, an amazing host who is so kind and helpful to travelers. We loved being able to relax and spread out for a few days - just a perfect 4 night respite from our travels! Oh and excellent and helpful communication with the property!

The hosts were incredibly nice. They gave us good advice, helped us reserve a restaurant and made sure we had a great experience. The room was amazing, spacious, comfortable and clean. We had a small fridge in the room. The hostess prepared us an amazing breakfast for a small extra that was really worth it. We can only recommend this place when stopping to visit the Postojna cave and Predjama castle.

Offering a terrace and mountain view, Guest house Okrepčevalnica Zemonska vaga is set in Ilirska Bistrica, 32 km from The Škocjan Caves and 43 km from Predjama Castle. Staff is just amazing! I suggest to stay with them and have a nice talk! Location is perfect for travellers, both those staying in the area as those just passing by. Anyway, I suggest staying around and visiting Sviščaki, Snežnik...

A főtértől 500 méterre, a Postojnai-cseppkőbarlangtól pedig 1,3 km-re épült Guesthouse Mira G. ingyenes wifivel ellátott, légkondicionált szobákat kínál. Modern, clean, quiet location and very friendly owners. We arrived early and were able to leave our bags before the check in time. Lovely breakfast with home made preserves and home grown produce. Easy walk to town centre, Postojna Caves and close to the bus station and 20 min walk to the train station.

Rooms Kapelj have been working in this business for 35 years, located in a quiet area of Prestranek, just 6 km from the well-known Postojna Cave, Rooms Kapelj is surrounded by a green garden and... The room was great - big and clean. We couldn't ask for anything else. We also got coffee and the fridge was an excellent addition for keeping the snacks for the kids.
