Situada em uma casa restaurada do século XVIII, a Casa Da Piedade oferece um lounge com lareira, jardim ao ar livre com churrasqueira e quartos bem decorados. EVERYTHING. Imagine a corner of paradise and you will think of something very similar to Casa Da Piedade: a facility surrounded by nature, with a wonderful pool overlooking palm trees and mountains, with very clean rooms, equipped with everything you need (e.g., hair dryer, fully functioning hot water and heating) and furnished with impeccable style. The fantastic staff will make you feel super welcome and pampered (on arrival we found a free gift of Bolo do Caco and Madeira waiting for us in our room) and when you wake up you can enjoy a wonderful breakfast in one of the bright common room. If I were to return to Madeira I would definitely come back here and I definitely recommend it! Thank you 🥰

Honestly at first, I was a bit taken aback that there is no staff on site and that it was more of a house/Airbnb type than a hotel. However, it turned out to be AMAZING. I made this purchase DAY OF because of a very stressful last minute change to my trip, and this place was just what I needed to unwind and relax. Everything was super clean, and safe, and the facilities were just wonderful. I also talked with the cleaning lady the next day and she was super sweet. There were mango trees dropping fruit on the property, and all in all it was just magical. Free protected parking and everything. I felt completely safe there. There’s also a grocery store like a 5 min walk away if you want to go pick things up to cook (as well as many eateries).

We had an amazing stay at this comfortable apartment! Central location to the market across the street and grocery stores and bus and the waterfront promenade. It felt like we were locals going to the grocery store and taking the bus, not like tourists! The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything you could possibly need! We loved it! Jose was a wonderful host and he was in touch with us from the moment we landed at the airport and any time we had a question he was quick to answer all of our questions! We didn't have a problem with noise from the market early morning but we always travel with a white noise machine so we didn't hear anything. We found the bed super comfortable. We were there for almost 2 weeks and cannot wait to go back to Madeira and hope that Jose's apartment is available when we do!! Thank you so much Jose!!
