Breakfast was lovely with fresh juice, pastries and fruit. We were also sent away with extra slices of cake and fruit for our journey! We also had dinner there and nothing was too much. The food was excellent but was clearly prepared just for us and made it even more special with all the beams and vineyard features such as barrels in the reception and dining room. The bedroom was very cosy and the bed was extremely comfy and bathroom with a bath was excellent. The room was very large and had lots of features to make us feel like we were in the vineyard. The best bit was when we arrived and we were greeted by the family with glasses of port from their vineyard for free before sitting by a toasty fire to warm up - perfect welcome!!

A Tendinha - Guest House ligger i Peso da Régua, 1,1 km fra Douro Museum og 14 km fra Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary. Der er bjergudsigt. Der er gratis wi-fi og gratis parkering på stedet. This guesthouse was very stylish and thoughtfully appointed. It had everything we needed and welcome glasses of port and sweets were provided. A nice touch. It was located on the first floor by a staircase above a very popular pasteleria which is where breakfast was served. This was one of the best breakfasts we have had and staff could not have been more helpful in ensuring we had everything we wanted during our 2 night stay. Car parking was very easy and convenient and free which was an added bonus. The guesthouse is also close to the train station We highly recommend A Tendinha to anyone staying in Peso da Regua who can manage a short flight of stairs.

Quinta da Menina Guest House ligger i Vila Real, 35 km fra Douro Museum, 46 km fra Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary og 8,6 km fra Mateus-paladset. What an amazing place and warm, wonderful hosts Paolo and Carla make you feel like old friends. Beware, booking.com's directions take you to the wrong house. Follow Google maps to Quinta da Menina Guest house instead and you won't get lost. The place seems brand new but charming. It's spotless and gorgeous. The pool is crystal clear and breakfast is fantastic. Don't make the mistake we made and only book one night. You are going to want to stay at this beautiful oasis and explore the wine area for, at least, a few days. I would have stayed forever if I could.

Complimentary cake, fruits and Porto vine are offered. Places and where to eat recommendations are printed. The host is amazing. Everything is made with love.

Well located at the beginning of a great drive into the valley. Casa 4 Caminhos - Guest House Douro is brand new and the facilities are excellent. Also the hosts were very nice and most helpful. I have no hesitation recommending Casa 4 Caminhos - Guest House Douro for your stay when visiting the Douro Valley. Also they have parking right next door within the building which is most helpful.

Zimão Garden House ligger i Vila Real, 30 km fra Natur Waterpark, 31 km fra golfbanen Vidago Palace og 43 km fra Douro Museum. Not enough words to describe this wonderful place. It was so good so after we left , we decided to go back and stay longer. Perfect by all means.

Also, the facilities was very comfortable and clean, the view was amazing and the breakfast was always complete. The only thing was that the bathroom water drain could be even smarter. In addition to everything, I recommend the Muas Guest House and their homemade cakes, they were amazing.

We wanted quite and romantic place, out of the city place but close enough to drive by car. This place is located 20-25 minutes from the Sabrosa/Pinhao. The stay was amazing! The room was spacious enough and we had a big window facing the valley. The sunset and the morning views are incredible there. And because of the isolated location it so quite there. Except the room there is also a place outside in the property to sit and enjoy the wine and the views. The host gave us a taste of their own wine and port and we also asked for the breakfast (additional price). Wow, you definitely must have it! Aurora made us a wonderful breakfast. Everything on the table came from their own garden. And the view from the balcony (where we ate) is amazing.

A lovely stay with hosts that treat you like family. The room is spotless clean, and you get to use the dining and living rooms, it’s spacious and nice. But mostly it’s the chance to meet the nicest hosts and feel the real Portugal. We highly recommend it, and hope to come again.
