Cute little place in the middle to Twizel, close to all things in the area. Very clean and had all we needed in a compact space. Nice patio that you can enjoy a glass of wine or dinner. Situated in Lake Tekapo with a lake and mountains view. Josephine Lakeside Star has a fully equipped kitchen and on-site car park. The village is only 3 minutes drive from the holiday home. The host was very helpful and courteous. Gave us tips for our stay. House and room very clean. Quiet at night.

Featuring free WiFi, The Barn at Killin B&B is located in Lake Ohau in the Mackenzie country of the North Otago region, 30km from Twizel. The reason I rate 10 is I'm not allowed to rate any higher. Exceptional. We only stayed for one night but it became the best experience of the whole trip. We were the only guests in that night. Mr. Huge greeted us by the mainroad. We did reserve a dinner but I never expected it was so good! I'm missing the wine and food and the lovely conversation in that night already. The breakfast was great too! Even better than some 5-star hotel in my opinion... Still the best part is Mr. Huge's hospitality. Room was perfect. Facilities were great. Location is perfect! Ohau is indeed a remote place, the house is 200 meters outside the village but just perfect in my opinion. 1 minute walk to the lake. The house does have a touching history.
