My wife and I have always prefer to stay in an urban and nature environment. Firstly, I would say that the owners Mr. Mahesh and his spouse Mdm. Chandi has delivered the true Sri Lankan hospitality, they provided personalised services and always suggest the best on what activity we can do around Sigiriya. They even prepared fantastic meals for us based on our taste buds. They have never been pushy and that's the best 👌. Besides that, we have experienced a bombastic self vegetation plantation around the hidden lake cottages, If you are lucky 😃 actually every day is a lucky day, you will hear peacocks, cows, elephants and migration of various bird with their chippig sound and many other living creatures. It's like only ONE Call away and they are there to assist, In fact, Mr Mahesh shuttled us to the main road in order for us to take the bus. Little did we know that travelling by bus was satisfying and this was suggested by the beautiful property owners. Everything was so 👉 on point whereby on our last day, we did feel like we were gonna miss this home. Myself and my wife will definitely introduce this soothing and calm cottage to all our family, friends and those who need suggestions 😊. Die Unterkunft besticht durch einen Garten Simoya Nature Park und Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten in Dambulla, 19 km von Sigiriya-Monolith und 22 km von Pidurangala-Felsen entfernt. We stayed 3 nights at Simoya. Madhu and Sanjee were very welcoming and nothing was too much bother. The room was to a high standard and had everything you needed, including a fridge which was very handy. Breakfast was huge but very tasty and we also ate dinner there for all 3 of the nights we stayed. In all honesty, Im not sure where else we could have eaten in the local area which was at the same quality as Madhu and Sanjee's cooking. We went to the top of Pidurangala rock for an extra fee at sunrise which was well worth the money. We also paid Sanjee for a transfer to Kandy which was at a reasonable rate. Both Sanjee and Madhu were perfect hosts and really lovely people. The one thing I would say that I have found throughout Sri Lanka is to check costs before agreeing to things but that advice goes throughout and everything additional we paid for we felt was worth the money.

Our stay in Relax Nature Villa was truly exceptional! Mahinde and his family are the BEST, they prepared a delicious breakfast for us and rented us bikes. Room was perfect, very comfortable bed, everything was clean. I would say that everyone should stay even for a night at this magical place, which is worthy of its name.

Roy is a man with a big heart. He's a talented chef, architect and interior designer - he's the mastermind behind this unique place. Roy treats guests as dear friends. And it's not just Roy: the entire crew of the hostel is very attentive and caring, for example they remembered how we like our coffee and our cocktails even though the place was quite busy. The dorms are extremely luxurious with very thick mattresses. This is a great place to spend a few days in relaxation. This is also a really good place to meet other travellers, we met so many people there! And there are several options for group activities. The food is great (with several vegan and vegetarian options) and Roy's cooking classes are fun and informative.

Das Sigiri Close-up View Guest erwartet Sie mit einem Garten und Bergblick in Sigiriya, 600 m vom Pidurangala-Felsen entfernt. First of all, the attentiveness of our hosts was amazing. Always smiling, asking if everything was all right, trying to fulfill any of our desires or requirements. This place is a family-owned property, with happy kids running around. We felt safe and welcomed. Secondly, the food is great. It's home-cooked, but the presentation could compete with any restaurant we've been to in Sri Lanka. Not just the presentation, of course, but the tastes were great and the portions were huge. Location is excellent. If you are in the area to hike to the top of the rocks, which you probably are; the accommodation is located roughly in the middle, between Lion's Rock and Pidurangala. You can walk to both of them easily (20-30 minutes walk). The host will get you there by car if you are planning to leave early in the morning or late after sunset. You can see Lion's Rock from the property and you can get a good photo of it right there. The room is basic, but clean and well thought out. There is a bench to put your stuff, a bed with a mosquito net, and a working fan. The bathroom follows the same path. There are chairs and a table outside of the room. Despite the remote location, the Wi-Fi connection is surprisingly stable and reliable. I was able to make a 1+ hour video call. The speeds are slow but that's to be expected.

This is a calm place with view of a beautiful lake. The host was lovely and always smiling. Rooms are clean and neat. Breakfast was very yummy. Super close to some lakes, rice fields and very local village life, as well as to Dambulla cave in walking distance. Room rates are low and you get any help and information you need. They have their own tuktuk and Bandara brings you anywhere you want to go and takes really care for you, anytime you have a wish or a question. He also picked me up, when I arrived in Dumballa. Great service, very safe and secure. Thanks for all of your support.

Ich wurde sehr herzlich aufgenommen, er hat mich so freundlicherweise an der Bushaltestelle abgeholt. Zusammen sind wir dann zum Pidurangala rock am nächsten morgen gelaufen und ich fand es sehr nett das er mir den Ort zeigen wollte, auch die Geschichte dahinter. Oben haben wir sehr schöne Fotos gemacht! Auf Wunsch machte er mit mir einen kleinen Rundgang zu den Tempel und hat sich um mein Wohlbefinden sehr bemüht. Zusammen mit der Familie sind wir noch in einen Fluss gesprungen und danach gab es frühstück, so so lecker war das Frühstück, herzhaft zubereitet, ebenfalls das Abendessen:)toller Ausblick! sehr nette Familie! geben sich Mühe!
