My stay in Tree house was just wonderful. The hotel is very special, amazing vibe and incredible location. It was so peaceful and the staff are very helpful and nice. I also loved the food, very healthy, tasty and big dishes. I will definitely come back.

Our stay on Manda’s side at Mangrove House was truly wonderful. The location is unmatched, the peace and quiet are absolute. The staff is wonderful and so is the owner, super attentive and ready to help and share. The house is right in front of Shela and Peponi hotel, just a short boat trip away. Would absolutely go back, and recommend it to everyone going to Lamu!

Keep in mind it's a guesthouse not a hotel, so common areas/amenities are limited (but there are comfortable couches and a hammock). They do provide good tourist information.

It is located 700 metres from Gallery Baraka and offers luggage storage space. The guest house features family rooms. Moses is a wonderful person, who made us enjoy our stay to a maximum. He made our laundry, on demand he prepared a very delicious dinner with fresh seafood he bought in the market etc. Our fantastic family room and the hotel with its huge and nice common areas on the roof top are nicely designed and furnitured in the typical Suaheli style. Nevertheless they are yet not as new as they appear on the fotographs.
