Great location to see the northern lights, sadly we didn’t see them but the group the night before and after did since is secluded spot. Lovely waffles for breakfast, clean room with everything you need. We got dinner from a food truck in Hella but also had great kitchen facilities if you want to cook your own.

Located in Hvolsvöllur in the South Iceland region, Brú Guesthouse provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. So cozy, a little home away from home. Small but functional kitchen we were able to use to warm up the food we bought at the grocery store. Excellent french press coffee included (actually the best lodging coffee we had out of every place we stayed in Iceland). Very close to several attractions on the south coast but the cottages are little ways off of the Ringroad so it's a bit more private and secluded. Bathroom was fine. We were able to check in early.

This family-run property is 400 metres off Route 1 and 15 km from Selfoss. It offers free Wi-Fi and a terrace. Homemade bread, jam and pastries are served for breakfast. Lovely place with everything you need. Comfortable sleeping room and large well equipped common areas (Lounge, TV room, kitchen). Excellent breakfast included in the room rate. Several bathrooms/shower rooms sufficient for a full house. Big outdoor terrace with good view of the surrounding nature. Very convenient to Selfoss for shopping, resturants. Very friendly, family run Inn. Very helpfull with information, advice on hiking trails, etc. Will definately return for a longer stay. Convenient location for visiting South west and South coast.

Veronique made us feel very welcome. Free coffee and ice cubes were available. Flat TV in our room and a small kitchen. A bit offside, but totally worth a stop after an exhausting day.
