In a quiet corner of Clifden, this quiet haven of rich comfort and classic Irish hospitality is just 93 steps from the vibrant buzz of Clifden town centre. Wow, what a beautiful little place. The accommodation is right in the heart of town, close to restaurants and pubs, and the drive in and out was superb. The room was more than satisfactory, with a lovely shower. Breakfast was amazing, with the salmon and scrambled eggs being the winner, but the Ful Irish Breakfast was enjoyed by my other significant half.

Offering a terrace and garden view, Dan O'Hara Farmhouse B&B is set in Clifden, 12 km from Alcock & Brown Memorial and 26 km from Kylemore Abbey. Breakfast was very good, a great variety of hot and cold options.

Surrounded by nature walks, Tullaleagan Guesthouse is located 6.4 km from Oughterard. Situated in a quiet location, free WiFi access is also available. absolutely beautiful location

Ben View Guesthouse is located in Clifden. Featuring a shower, private bathroom also comes with a bath or shower and a hairdryer. Extras include bed linen and ironing facilities. Super friendly welcome and the host remembered the names of each guest. Excellent breakfast with cereals, fruit and to choose from three hot breakfast options on top.

Quietly situated, Mountain View Guesthouse is an Irish Tourist Board approved family-run 4-star guest house. Very good place, we will recommand it

Buttermilk Lodge is 5 minutes' walk from Clifden town centre, so you can just park your car and easily walk to town. Patrick and Cathriona are the perfect example of real assets amongst the famous Irish hospitality. I just can’t recommend their house highly enough to discerning people. If Connemara has a lot to offer on its own, it also certainly has Patrick and Cathriona guesthouse, their hospitality, benvolence and kindness and it would be a real shame to miss out and not stopping at their place. Simple as that. The accodomation situation, facilities, room comfort and equipments, breakfast, cleanliness, quietness and organisaton are perfect and spot-on. For every euro spent, I easily received 10. In a nutshell : stopping by at their house for few nights or making it a base in Clifden while visiting parts of Connemara areas is a no-brainer. Thank you very much .

In this Victorian country manor, romantically situated in 180 acres of private woodland, you can enjoy 4-star quality accommodation on the shores of Lough Corrib. A delight. My idea of the perfect small hotel of charm. Brilliant food, a lovely setting, and a warm welcome by owner Henry.

Lamp Light Rooms, a property with a bar, is situated in Clifden, 4.9 km from Alcock & Brown Memorial, 19 km from Kylemore Abbey, as well as 35 km from Maam Cross. Honestly I was so impressed by this place. Well proportioned and beautifully styled rooms, lovely common spaces, and ridiculously comfortable beds. Did not expect to have a stay as half as good as this while driving down the West coast, nevermind for as reasonable a price as it was. Room had extra pillows/towels already stocked if they were needed, and a Nespresso machine and well stocked box of teas/coffees. Clifden itself was a highlight of our road trip and the hotel is very well positioned to explore the town.

Offering a shared lounge and quiet street view, The Old Exchange is located in Clifden, 4.5 km from Alcock & Brown Memorial and 19 km from Kylemore Abbey. The room was a good size and very comfortable but what we loved best was the owner’s warmth in welcoming us to her establishment!

Situated in the picturesque village of Leenaun, the Portfinn Lodge offers views of the Maumturks Mountains. The house is on the southern shore of Killary Harbour, in the heart of Connemara. The view of the room was exeptional. We could see the fjord from our bed! Clean and tidy.
