Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated The Old Vicarage offers accommodation with water sports facilities and free WiFi. The best hosts in the UK! Diane and Mike treated us like family and were great company, we even jammed together since I’d brought my guitar along and Diane plays piano. Quite a fun evening! The location was grand for outdoor activities, quiet and peaceful with a lovely common room well stocked with books, puzzles, games and such. Most comfortable king size bed we’ve had in a B&B.

Featuring a terrace, restaurant, bar and free WiFi, The Roast Ox Inn is located in Builth Wells, 41 km from Elan Valley and 13 km from Clifford Castle. OMG, what a great Inn. The bed was extremely comfortable, the setting was idyllic and it was quiet. The food was excellent and the staff were so friendly. The pub was very busy and a lot of fun, though I was too tired to take full advantage of the Saturday night fun. Breakfast was a full-on English breakfast with cereals, juice, 2 eggs, bacon, homemade toast and jam, mushrooms, roast tomato and the best breakfast sausage know to man. Be sure to reserve a table for dinner as they do fill up. As an aside, the kind staff (Christine and Jan) look after a feral cat that hangs out at the Inn. Not sure of his/her name, but she was very friendly and liked a good scratch on the neck. I woke up early the next morning to find the cat waiting at my door. After a light scratching, She led me downstairs to let her out. The entire experience at Roast Ox Inn was perfect and is highly recommended.

Boasting a garden and views of river, Little London Bed & Breakfast and Glamping pod is a guest house set in a historic building in Abercraf, 27 km from Grand Theatre. Very pleased with our stay. The hosts were so attentive, instantly replied to our messages and extra requests. Well equipped, comfortable and spotless accommodation. Delicious breakfast. Beautiful location.

Aberllynfi Riverside Guest House, a property with a garden, is situated in Glasbury, 45 km from Elan Valley, 10 km from Clifford Castle, as well as 19 km from Brecon Cathedral. Fantastic location with an amazing view of the lake. The room had character but was tastefully decorated. The entrance and staircase is incredible! Breakfast was top notch. It was a great stay.

Nestled in the Dyfi Valley, The Firecat Bed and Breakfast features large open fireplaces, exposed beams and traditional oak furniture throughout. Everything was amazing! Very atmospheric house and the area around it: green hills, river, sheep, geese and chickens. You will recognize that you're in a special place at the moment when Robin and Jane serve you an incredible royal breakfast (or dinner if you want). Location is great! We traveled all over Snowdonia, we did a lot of trails, we were on rivers, lakes, waterfalls, stunning sandy beaches. It was a truly amazing trip for us and our dog! We will miss it very much and will recommend this place to all our friends!

Set in Machynlleth, in a historic building, 38 km from Aberystwyth Golf Club, The Old Vicarage B&B, Corris is a recently renovated guest house with a garden and bar. The house was lovely and the host was very kind and helpful. Our whole stay was luxurious: pillow choices, travelguides for the area, afternoon cakes and much more. A tip, take your time for breakfast. It is really good!

Chris is an exceptional, helpful and friendly hostess and makes you feel really WELCOME WHICH IS WHAT a solo traveller needs. Location is right on the edge of the town centre making easy access for meals. Great breakfast
