Set in Greta and with Hunter Valley Gardens reachable within 20 km, The Table Guest House offers a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a shared lounge. Fantastic place, felt like we were back in Italy or France. Helen is an amazing host. Very well located, only a few minutes away from all the vineyards. Highly recommend it for a weekend getaway for couples.

Located in Pokolbin, the renovated Spicers Guesthouse offers an outdoor swimming pool and tennis court. Éremo Restaurant, with its modern Italian cuisine is a centerpiece of the retreat. A beautiful room with everything we needed! Staff we lovely, warm and welcoming.

Built in 1860, the historic Bronte Boutique Hotel is located just 50 meters from the Hunter River. Excellent location, everything in walking distance. Friendly welcome by Kerrie, who rang us that our room was ready earlier than first advised and then showed us around and explained the facilities. Good size beautiful room, nice and cool when we arrived as the "heath was on" on that day, comfortable bed, excellent shared area, coffee machine/tea making facilities with plenty of choice. Port and chocolates available in the sitting room, which is beautiful and comfortable. Water and nibbles in the room. Cooked breakfast on the terrace, served by two lovely young ladies. Everything was perfect.

Offerring free WiFi and BBQ facilities, Grapevines Boutique Accommodation is 2 minutes’ drive from Hunter Valley Gardens. It’s a family-run-in business, so we got a very warm welcome like some part of them. The owner is so helpful and friendly giving us lots of useful local information, but very respectful of our private time. The location is great in the heart of the vineyard zone, easy to take a short drive to many cellar doors and wine houses. Just some units of property, we didn’t need to stand in line for checking in and out. The room is spacious and spotless with cosy decoration. There is a small succulent and rose garden in front of the room, and panoramic views only some steps beyond. Waking up in the early morning, we enjoy a fantastic stroll through the vineyard, snapshots of kangaroos and floating balloons in the sky.

Situated on the edge of the Brokenback Mountain Range, Elfin Hill Vineyard Accommodation boasts a swimming pool and free on-site parking. Marie and Mark went out of their way to make our holiday fabulous. Breakfast was excellent. Location is quiet with amazing views.

Set on 25 acres, in the heart of wine country, Red Door Collective - RDC Vineyard Estate enjoys breathtaking views of the Brokenback Ranges and is home to one of the smallest commercial vineyards in... Everything...stewart and evelyn were the perfect hosts who think of everything to make your stay enjoyable and are so friendly.. the cabernet suite was beautiful ...tastefuly decorated....bed was so comfy...the surroundings ...views were wonderful. .. so peaceful ...i loved sitting in the little lavender garden....and the kangaroo family that visited ....evelyn is a great cook...her meals so delicious...their wines are the best..... this was our third stay and we will definately be returning .....i highly recomend this place .. ...its a jewel in the hunter.

Tranquil Vale Vineyard provides a peaceful retreat in homely, standalone cottages. It has an outdoor pool, a vineyard and a library of books and movies. The apartment was lovely, comfortable and big. I loved the breakfast with the homemade sourdough bread (!) and all the fruits. We enjoyed the wine tasting as well as the nature, pool and tennis court. I wish Australia wasn't that far and we would be able to come back. :)

Set in the heart of the Hunter Valley wine region, Thistle Hill Guesthouse - walk to many wineries and restaurants offers a peaceful escape from the city. Everything. It was a lovely location and we were warmly welcomed.

Gullivers Guest House is situated in East Maitland, 33 km from Energy Australia Stadium, 33 km from Newcastle International Hockey Centre, as well as 33 km from Newcastle Showground. The whole stay was delightful. We loved the self contained aspect, the setting, the cleanliness. Being able to have our dog was an absolute bonus. The quietness of the neighbourhood. The sprawling, immaculately kept front yards and all the neighbourhood dogs beautifully contained. Even the red chicken who kept escaping added to our delight. Thank you for a beautiful space to stay.

Situated in Wollombi, in a historic building, 40 km from Hunter Valley Gardens, Capers Cottage and Barn Accommodation is a guest house with a garden and terrace. The historic village of Wollombi was very scenic, we didn't have time to explore it as we were there for our daughter's wedding at a nearby retreat. We were warmly greeted by our host Jane, who took us on a tour of the main house which was a magnificent example of an early colonial mansion, very historic in origin. The Capers Guesthouse had a choice of three separate buildings for a stay, we had the Barn which was a real highlight as it was literally a slab barn with beautiful interior, so rustic but comfortable. The furniture inside was a collection of antiques which reflected the heritage atmosphere of the Barn and town. All modern facilities for cooking, the supplied breakfast had a choice of cereals or full cooked breakfast. The ingredients supplied were the best quality, tomatoes, huge mushrooms, eggs and the best sausages and bacon I've tasted in a long time. The bed was a huge king size, very comfortable and the bathroom was modern and supplied by fresh rainwater from tanks. We want to try the other buildings for a stay in the future and have the pleasure of a historic building stay.
