Everything was great. First thing that I remembered was great food. I think that was the best hotel restaurant ever. Very clean and cozy. And also location is also the best. Hotel is placed in pedestrian only street in center of old town. We were there two times. And we will visit Stari Mayr again.

I've stayed at a lot of hotels, guest houses, Airbnbs over the past 12 months; all over europe and in Canada. This is easily as good as the best of them and on balance I think it's the best. Very close to Lublijana airport. Exceptional value for money. Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. V good bedroom. Lovely old wood lodge charm.

Mojca was such a lovely and welcoming host. We felt right at home from the beginning. The restaurant was brilliant. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner with a mountain view. Rooms are super clean, beds are comfy, and it was nice to have a fridge. A shared kitchen is also available.

He prepares breakfast every morning in the beautiful basement and greets every guest with a warm welcome He has a vast knowledge of the local history and gladly likes to tell about it He also provides great information about where to go and what to see, not only in Skofja Loka, but pretty much anywhere in Slovenia We loved hearing about the history of Slovenia and getting good advice on where to go We ate at several of the places he recommended in nearby small towns and they were all excellent We truly miss our interaction with him every morning
