The house has is new, everything was spottles clean! There were only 6 or 7 rooms for rent, but the house itself is quite big, with a large common kitchen/dining area and a huge yard, with tables, external wooden jacuzzi, kids playground, BBQ area, tennis court and a large green-grass lawn, that our husky loved even more than we did! The hosts were really nice, down-to-earth people! They didn't speak English, but were able to communicate with ease thanks to Google translate. The man of the house greeted us uppon arrival and then treated us with a welcome drink - a traditional high alcoholic beverage, like Bulgarian rakia for me and a low alcoholic cherry liquore for my wife. The lady of the house offered us coffee from the coffee machine that was on our disposal in the kitchen area, showed us around the kitchen and on the next morning (it was Orthodox Easter) she treated us with peaces of homemade cake, freshly boiled home milk and also gave us amazingly hand-painted eggs! The hospitality of these people was out of this world! We can't thank them enough for the way they made us feel at home!

My first time visiting Romania (came from England) and the owner is beyond this world and simply couldn't do enough for us. Chatty, friendly and polite... She recommended us places to visit and places to eat. I can't believe this hotel is just 3 stars it certainly deserves more. Our room was clean and spacious and we definitely will be returning in summer or Christmas. After visiting this hotel I wish to stay longer and not return to England.... See you soon vila class 🌍

The room had a tasteful design and everything looked high quality: we felt like kings in a luxury apartment 🙂. The staff was very nice and helpful, the breakfast was rich and diverse and we had a nice view from our window/terace. Our only regret was that we stayed only one night, as we were in transit. We highly recommand Velvet Home!

It is a nice hotel located in the heart of Vatra Dornei. The rooms had nice bed, a shower and a splendid view from the window. The hotel is new and everything works just fine. There is a big dining hall where you can spend your evenings if there are many of you. The host is a very kind man, who has been very receptive and helped us out with every request. Clean and cozy hotel which are worth its costs. Highly recommend.

Amazing stay at this lovely Inn! The location is great, close to Vatra Dornei, very spacious rooms and squeaky clean ! As a bonus, the hostess was lovely and the food delicious.

We loved our stay at Apartamentul Ghioceilor! The room was warm, cosy and clean and the shared kitchen was modern and very well equipped. The owner is incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome! Even on a cold autumn afternoon, we loved sitting in the outdoor area and admiring the views while sipping on a hot cup of tea. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again next time we are in the area.

Lovely property, great location not far from Vatra Dornei. Lovely host- great rooms with beautiful views from all angles. Amazing value for money and we had the whole place to ourselves which was incredible! Great facilities and would definitely recommend it to others and stay again ourselves! When we wanted to stay an extra night our lovely host was more than willing to accommodate that with no fuss!

Great location, a few minutes on foot to the central park. The host was kind and helpful. Our initial room had a bad smell in the bathroom and they offered us a replacement room. The replacement was clean and quiet, although it had a bit of a smell in the bathroom as well. Less than the first option to be fair, and not all the time but still unpleasant when it happened.
