The kindest, most caring, and generous hosts! Sparkling clean accommodations, and exceptionally delicious fresh farm to table food from the property. It was an absolutely stellar amazing experience, the best guest house in Breb! For first timers, there is only one restaurant in Breb that is remote and hard to get to, a tiny market, and no bank or ATM. As such, the property you stay at SO important. I extended my stay because this beautiful guest house was so incredibly wonderful, peaceful, warm and comfortable. My Highest recommendation!

Beautiful room appointed in traditional Romanian style in a picturesque village. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. It was a great location for exploring nearby churches and monasteries. The absolute best thing about this place is the wonderful hosts. They made us feel very welcome and we loved talking with them over meals. We learned a lot about Romania and the traditional way of life in Maramures. The food was excellent and were among the best meals we enjoyed in Romania

We loved the rooms, which are new, clean and traditionally decorated. the location is superb, the hosts are extremely nice people and we had a wonderful stay. also, the breakfast they prepared for us was one of the best we had so far. The hosts were warm and friendly and managed to overcome our language barrier with grace and good humour. They offered coffee when we arrived and home made Horica as soon as we sat down. The room was spacious, clean and so comfortable - the best bed in over a month of different hotels/pensiones! The ensuite bathroom was spotless. And the handmade embroidered wall hangings were simply beautiful. We were offered dinner for 50RON pp and it was a delicious 3 course traditional meal. This pensione is located in the traditional Romanian village of Breb in the mountains of Maramures. There is only a very weak internet signal but you will not miss it. A wander around the village and you will be so glad you switched off.

Excellent base for hiking. Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner/Snacks/Drinks available a short stroll away at hosts’ garden cafe/bar/restaurant. Food exceptional and sourced locally from farmers producing sustainably. All prepared and cooked on site in the garden in full view of guests. Size of property. Immaculately presented, stunning and well equipped. Enthusiastic hosts who care about the environment and wish to do business using a sustainable model. Rare to find such a gem managed by such delightful hosts. Who wouldn’t want to return to such an idyllic setting ?
