Most of the important things are already mentioned in previous comments (so keep in mind reading them as well) but I don't want to miss out sending my personal little review too. This stay has been one of my highlights during my travel through Sri Lanka. I didn't expect much - just some days in Dambulla for visiting the caves and doing some hikes. And whatever you expect you will definitely make new friends with this amazing family. Deepal and Madhu make you feel home and more than welcome at their quite, peaceful homestay. They care about their guests and their well-being as soon as you send over your booking. The accommodation itself is very new, comfortable and individually decorated. I didn't miss anything during my (way too short!) stay of 3 nights. And yes - everyone is so right about the food that is freshly prepared by Madhu and her lovely mother. This was not just enough feeding myself and at least 3 more people - it also has been so delicious *and I'm a picky one*, spicy, original, made with love, varied, they even took care of my allergies! Simply great. We went for walks, drives and hikes, had great supper together, even the most inspiring and deep conversations, we tried our best to get some petrol (such unique adventure - unfortunately not for the people in Sri Lanka atm), their kids are adorable and great fun. Their parents are lovely as well, great teachers and full of passion! And then there is Windy - their dog ♡ I found friends and I will come back as well.

Owner is so friendly and I would it was the cleanest hotel we have ever been. Don’t get surprised by low price but getting best value out of it!

The owner and his wife were so welcoming from the lemon drink to the borrowing the bike to explore Dambulla. Setting up the tuk tuk to Sigiriya and the ride to the bus stand they were great. I will return soon hopefully. දඹුල්ල ගවේෂණයට බයිසිකලය ණයට ගන්නා තෙක් අයිතිකරු සහ ඔහුගේ බිරිඳ ලෙමන් පානයෙන් සාදරයෙන් පිළිගත්තේය. සීගිරියට ටුක් ටුක් එක සෙට් කරලා බස් ස්ටෑන්ඩ් එකට යන එකත් නියමයි. මම ඉක්මනින් ආපසු එන්න බලාපොරොත්තු වෙනවා

We had a nice experience at this accomodation. We stayed 2 nights, 4 people in 2 double rooms. The accomodation is close to Golden temple. The rooms were very clean. Both breakfast and dinner were very good and variate - traditional food. The owner arranged for us several trips: -1st day-Dambulla to Sigiriya by tuktuk at sunset (tuktuk driver was like a guide also providing us info and also drove us to see nice view points and also local animals) -2nd day- Dambulla-Pidurangalla at sunrise and afterwards to Pollonaruwa by tuktuk - the drivers took us to see all sites and we had just a little to walk. -3rd day-Dambulla-Kandy- the owner drove us with his car and waited for as at Ambuluwawa Tower (very hard to go by car but the owner took us without complaining) and also arranged for us on the way a Herbal garden experience. On short, everything was great (also the pool from the location :) ) and you can count on the owner to have the greatest experience for the best price.

The room was very clean and comfortable! The personnel was really hospital and made us feel so nice! The yard was amazing in front of the hotel where we had our breakfast

We just loved everything about it! Such hostility and friendliness. We enjoyed the tasty and affordable food, he is a save driver who always stoped to show us something worth seeing. Even when we went out in the city or to a Tempel on our own he always has a good advice on dresscode, direction and how to save money. We took a beautiful trip to a temple at sunset with him and we got to know his excitement and love for his city, land and religion. Thx you so much for sharing that with us und inviting us in.

The room and washroom were so clean and they prepared the room perfectly. Walkable distance to the main road to catch the bus. cheap and worthwhile place.
