Beautiful location on a local ranch not far from Vík, Dyrhólaey, Reynisfjara, and many other spots in south Iceland. The apartment is very quiet and peaceful and I loved waking up being greeted by the friendly horses and the cutest little pug walking around to say "hi". There is a guidebook left by the hosts and the instructions beforehand are very clear for accessing the apartment. Parking is right in front of the cabin. The bed was comfortable, the place was very clean, and there were enough kitchen amenities to make some meals yourself instead of eating out each night. I would definitely recommend this peaceful cabin!

Everything was perfect. Very clean, spacious rooms. The kitchen was well equipped with everything that you need. The guesthouse was very close to the black sand beach. We even got to see the aurora from the kitchen window and the porch behind. I totally recommend this accommodation!

Clean, bright, quiet, there was never a queue for toilets whilst we were there, either. My daughter especially loved the toy corner and chill-out space after a busy day exploring. The Guesthouse is very nice and comfortable, the room was quiet and very spacious and clean. The breakfast was spectacular with some homemade bread. And the host is really nice. It is close to some of the area's interesting spots as the black sand beach and several waterfalls. You can also find a supermarket and a few restaurants at a walking distance.IsaGroup

The decor was fascinating and the kitchen facilities and bathroom had everything we needed and more. We particularly liked the Icelandic soaps, homemade jams and waffles! The hotel itself is special and charming, the environment is very quaint. The fact that you can enjoy the latter at any place of the hotel - especially during breakfast - is a big plus! Also the staff was really friendly and welcoming. In a nutshell: One of the best (and cheapest | out of eight) accommondations we had during our trip in Iceland.

Gudrun was such a wonderful hostess - so welcoming and friendly to us! The best was finding the homemade waffle batter in the fridge for us!! After many days of traveling around Iceland, it was a delight to have a full kitchen with supplies. Location is awesome too - we enjoyed walking around charming Vik straight from the guesthouse. One of our best meals was at Sudur Vik which Gudrun recommended to us. I hope to be able to visit again!
