Lovely rustic Caribbean flavour to our en-suite bedroom on ground floor next to very attractive pool, with nice place for yoga. Hosts Laurence and Patrice could not have been more friendly and helpful to make our (actually 4 nights) stay as enjoyable as possible. Laurence offered us table d’hote dinner each night for very reasonable price: three delicious courses from local produce, served with glass of wine following an aperitif and interesting conversation throughout. All delicious, interesting with great variety and more than enough food. Breakfast was also excellent with Laurence often having made fresh local juices and jams often from her lovely garden. My schoolboy French was helped along by Laurence and Patrice’s good English and we felt very happy to be in their company. They gave us lots of really helpful suggestions and information for visiting various places in Basse Terre, where we wished to remain to explore the mountainous jungle, waterfalls, and Cousteau marine reserve on the West coast over our four day stay. Every day we really looked forward to returning to rest in our comfortable room, followed by at least two hours of friendly discussion over dinner.

The space was very comfortable and our host was welcoming. The location is great very convenient, close to the super center and about 10 minutes away from town.

Corinne was incredible! She is helpful, friendly, and available but leaves you plenty of space and privacy. The property is lovely, super clean, safe, quiet. There is a large mall within a 13 minute walk.

If you are searching for a familiar and absolutely comfortable stay, racoon lodge is just what you are looking for! Arriving at the lodge you will be introduced to the facilities in a lovely way by the absolute friendly owner. You have Palm trees and forest plants everywhere around, so that you can feel safe and remote just within the city of Point a Pitre. The Rooms are very beautiful and special on their own - just as shown on the pictures. During the evening you will meet the sweet pets of the lodge and can play with them, just before having a nice bath in the pool. We loved the stay over here and enjoyed a very good and fresh prepared coffee in the morning.
